TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOARDING OF THE ANIMAL FARM BOARDING KENNELS

1.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 7 pm; Saturdays, from 5 pm to 6 pm; Sundays and public holidays – closed. For all pets it applies that they are brought and collected at the agreed times!

2.

The Animal Farm boarding kennels undertakes to provide the best possible care for pets placed in the care of our kennels. Partly due to our unique method of care (dogs not kept in a kennel during the day, but free to roam around the farm), you must be aware that your pet might suffer an injury. The Animal Farm does not accept any responsibility whatsoever, for either direct or indirect injuries.

3.

The animal placed in the care of The Animal Farm must have been vaccinated according to the legal requirements at least 3 weeks before the boarding period begins. During your pet’s stay, we must keep the proof of vaccination (booklet or passport) here at the kennels. The Animal Farm is authorized to refuse your pet if you cannot produce a valid proof of vaccination.

4.

In the case of injury, illness or suspected illness of an animal in its care, The Animal Farm boarding kennels is authorized to consult a veterinary surgeon. The costs for treatment by this veterinary surgeon as well as all other costs within reason connected to the injury, illness or suspected illness of the animal in the care of the kennels, are for the account of the owner of the animal or the person who brought the animal to The Animal Farm for the purpose of boarding.

5.

The owner of the animal or the person who brought the animal to The Animal Farm for the purpose of boarding, owes payment on the last day of the boarding period. The owner of the animal or the person who brought the animal to The Animal Farm for the purpose of boarding is not entitled to a setoff under any circumstances.

6.

If payment for the boarding costs is not made in full, The Animal Farm boarding kennels is authorized to refuse to release the animal in its care.

7.

The Animal Farm boarding kennels has the right to have the animal in its care accommodated in a suitable animal rescue centre, at the expense of the customer, in the following circumstances: if the customer, without informing us, does not collect the animal within 2 weeks after the agreed boarding period; or, if an interim invoice from The Animal Farm boarding kennels remains unpaid by the customer for a period of 10 days.

8.

When an animal is brought for boarding, it must be completely free from vermin. If it appears that this condition has not been met, the costs for treating the animal, enclosures and/or other animals for vermin will be charged to the owner of the animal.

9.

Bookings can be made by telephone or by email. After accepting a booking, The Animal Farm boarding kennels has the right to a deposit of 50% of the total boarding costs. Once this deposit has been received, the booking becomes final. Bookings can be cancelled up to 21 days before the start of the agreed boarding period; the deposit will then be refunded. For cancellation within 21 days of the start of the agreed boarding period, irrespective of the reason, the full costs for the boarding period will be charged. If the animal is collected earlier than the agreed date of collection, the remaining boarding days will also be charged for.
The Animal Farm boarding kennels offers customers the possibility of shortening or extending the boarding period booked, by a maximum of 2 days and at no extra charge. This can be arranged up to no later than 21 days before the start of the agreed boarding period.

If a change is made to an existing booking and the difference is more than 2 days, the original booking will be automatically cancelled and a new booking will be made. If the kennels happen to be fully booked for the new dates, the owner has the option of having the dog placed on a waiting list. However, The Animal Farm boarding kennels cannot guarantee that there will actually be space for the dog for the newly requested period.

10.

Any items brought for the pet must be provided with a name label of the pet and the surname of the owner. Any loss or damage to these items is at the owner’s risk.
